F1 Race Manager, Day 4 - Screenshot update

I still continue on this big (maybe too big) project. I have just started today's few hours of work on the game (an F1 Management game for Android mobile phones). But I think some screenshots will demonstrate better, to where I am upto (very early)
The first screenshot shows the team selection screen.
The second screen shot shows the current state of the 'home screen' from where the player can reach most other screens. I intend to add screens for : sponsorship, finance and testing.
This screen shows the 'garage' which shows the stats of the car, and also where the user can set their mechanics to build/upgrade new parts.
This screen shows the driver information screen, where the user can see the stats of their own drivers, and eventually will be able to hire and fire drivers.

F1 mobile management Game, day 3

I've had even less time to programme today, but I'm pleased with what I got done. The home screen now has 2 more options (4 in total), which are a screen to show the teams current drivers along with all their stats (and to browse other teams), I hope this screen will allow for firing/hiring new drivers in the future. The second new thing I've added is the start of the garage screen, where currently the player can see the condition of their two cars, as well as stats. This screen will eventually be where the player can build/upgrade new parts for their cars. I'm always thinking of new things that would have to be in the game, and the project seems to get bigger and bigger. So, I'll have to write a list of things that are important, and things that aren't necessary. My plan is to have basic functionality at first, yet a working game, such as a basic race, and basic management options, such as hire/fire drivers, improve car parts.

F1 management game, day 2 update

I don't get a lot of time during the week to programme, but I've had 3 hours today. I have implemented a temporary race screen, that even though the result is the same as the entry list order, it does give a result and points to the top ten teams and drivers. I've also started the home screen, which at this moment only includes, details of the current year, the players team, and two buttons; one which gives the current championship tables, and the other that goes to the next race screen.

F1 management game, (working demo.)

It may be too big of a project, but I've started trying to make an F1 management game for Android. I've tried once doing this once for the PC - and had to stop as it was too big for one man. Being a mobile game, this will obviously be stripped back, compared to PC management games and won't go into extreme detail during the race or building the car. In the first afternoon of work, I've setup the game to load in the teams and drivers and to display them and allow the user to choose a team to manage, so nothing much yet. Even being stripped back, It does seem like a colossus task though...

Zombies!!! new android game based on Pixeloids

I've created a new game by changing the theme of Pixeloids, it's called Zombie Infection Defender and is available now.

Because I'm using coloured circles to represent the people and Zombies, it's enabled me to have more on screen at the same time, (initially 200 compared to Pixeloids 128) and this can again be increased or decreased depending on the performance of your phone/tablet.

Except for the graphics, other changes, include a new soldier weapon, that allows you to send in a soldier who follows and kills any  zombies, before he blows himself up, instead of becoming a  zombie.

I've also improved the Pixeloids (free version and paid version.) with the improvements from the Zombie Infection Defender game, in that the Infectoids follow any Pixeloids that are nearby.

Pixeloids, Finished

Despite a few disasters, and it being a month late, I've finally finished my third Android mobile game, Pixeloids.  I've submitted the paid version to slideme.org, and Google Play (formally the Android Market).  I'm too tired to submit the free, Ad-supported version, as I have to make one or two very minor changes first.

Back to work again. Pixeloids update.

Finally, I've been able to return to my third game for Android mobile phones, Pixeloids It's taken a month (two weeks without a computer), but I'm finally nearly there. I've added two game modes (Survival mode; where you try to survive as long as possible, until your final Pixeloid is dead, and Time Attack; where you have to save as many Pixeloids as possible in 60 seconds). Also, I´ve implemented a highscore system for each mode, Finally, I've added performance settings, so users with faster tablets or mobiles can play with more Pixeloids on the screen (upto 400), while users of slower phones can reduce the amount. So nearly there.
I just need to add sound, improve the graphics and interface a little. But, I probably won't get much time to program until Saturday.

March Advert Update

I released updates to both of my games on the 1st March, and I must have released them at the correct time, because my earnings have increased a lot!  Between $3 and $8 in the first week, and now on average $2.   I must have got them onto the updated list on slideme.org at the right time.

This has meant that I made more than the whole of February in the first six days of March.  And now, I'm very very close to the $100 mark.

The only changes that I have made, have been to remove the notification ad, as it wasn't really earning anything, and replace it with an icon ad, which has so far worked better.

This month my pixelstrip as made double the amount of the hangman game.  With the content locker between levels making 50%, followed by the icon ad, and small banner ( about 25% each) of the revenue from pixelstrip.

Possible questions from this could be: Does this mean sex sells? (Well extrememly pixelated (on purpose) female bodies?  Is it better to try something a bit different, than trying to come up with a different version of the same old classic games?

So very pleased.

It's possible.

I´ve had a bit of a low time, with the breaking of my computer, which means I haven´t been able to program for a few weeks.  But, blogs like this http://makemoneywithandroid.blogspot.com/ really have inspired me to get back to programming (as I've had motivation problems in the past).  He also uses leadbolt ads and is making a nice amount of money each month.

But, my leadbolt ads have made more money so far than in the whole of February, I believe it was from a minor update, and the games going to the top of the updated applications list on slideme.org at the right time, one day I even made just under $9, which is a record.

I now have bought a cheap second hand computer, as that's really all I can afford at the moment, but it's allowed me to get back to making my third mobile game Pixeloids.

If you are into Android Application development, I do recommend you sign up to leadbolt, as I was sceptical at first, and even though I'm not making a massive amount yet, for the two very small games that I made, it's a good amount.    If you do sign up to leadbolt, I'd appreciate if you use my referral link, here.
